Early bird registration for the Symposium extended to 31 July

The IRCT has extended the deadline for the early bird registration for the Scientific Symposium, giving participants the opportunity to save 100 Euro on the registration fee throughout the month of July. The new deadline is 31 July and participants are encouraged to register before then to take advantage of the rate.

From 1 August the regular fee for international participants will be 480 euro, while local participants based in Mexico will pay 320 euro. Up to 450 participants from across regions and professions are expected to attend the event.

The torture rehabilitation sector has faced many challenges in conducting research and evidencing its approaches; the Symposium will be an important stepping stone in addressing this. It will also be the first time in 10 years that the sector has had a chance to come together, connecting a critical mass of clinical professionals and researchers.

The IRCT will also launch its research fellowship programmes at the Symposium, which will support centres in conducting research, both independently and in collaboration with researchers from universities.

The event is jointly hosted by the IRCT and Colectivo Contra la Tortura (CCTI) and is being held prior to the IRCT General Assembly, which runs from 8 to 9 December.
